Stronger roots. Healthier scalp. Naturally beautiful hair. Thirteen classical botanicals, declared with exact quantities, processed in a sesame–coconut base.
The classical "Keshraj" — king of hair herbs. Traditionally used to reduce hair fall and support new growth; the highest-dosed herb in this formula.
Traditionally used to strengthen hair at the root, soothe the scalp and support thicker-looking hair with regular massage.
Licorice root — traditionally used to calm an itchy, flaky scalp and support healthy follicle function.
True indigo — traditionally used to help maintain natural hair colour and delay the appearance of premature greying.
Cooling scalp herb — traditionally used to soothe scalp heat and irritation that aggravate hair fall.
Antioxidant-rich Triphala fruit — traditionally used to cleanse the scalp and support a dandruff-free environment.
Amla — naturally rich in vitamin C; traditionally used for strength, shine and delaying premature greying.
The third Triphala fruit — traditionally used to condition hair and nourish weak, brittle strands.
Nutgrass root — traditionally used to balance excess scalp oil and support a clean, healthy scalp.
Himalayan spikenard — traditionally used to calm the scalp and support smooth, even hair growth.
Vetiver root — deeply cooling; traditionally used to relieve scalp heat and refresh the roots.
Traditionally used in Ayurveda to support healthy scalp skin and natural pigmentation.
Neem — Ayurveda's scalp-hygiene herb, traditionally used to keep dandruff and scalp irritation in check.
The classical carrier of Ayurvedic taila — deeply penetrating, warm in potency, chosen for root-level absorption.
Cooling counterpart to sesame — conditions the hair shaft and balances the base for all hair types.
Composition as declared on pack. For external use only. This is a traditional Ayurvedic preparation; it is not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any disease.
Taila Paka Vidhi — The Classical Method
Ayurvedic oils don't work by mixing extracts into a base — they work by slow herbal maceration. C A Gain Roots follows the classical Sneha Paka process, in small batches, so every drop carries the full potency of the herbs.
Dried herbs are ground to yavakuta — "barley-grain" coarseness. Too fine and the powder burns and clouds the oil; too coarse and the actives never release. This size is what makes proper maceration possible.
The ground herbs become a fresh kalka (herb paste) and kwatha (water decoction) in the classical ratio — one part paste, four parts oil, sixteen parts decoction — so both water- and oil-soluble actives are captured.
The blend is simmered on gentle heat, held between 90–105 °C and never allowed past ~110 °C. Hours of slow paka evaporate the water phase and transfer the herbs into the sesame–coconut base without scorching them.
Each batch is confirmed done the traditional way: the kalka rolls into a wick (varti) between the fingers and crackles clean on flame — no moisture left, herbs fully spent into the oil. Only then is the batch filtered and bottled.
Why only 60 litres at a time? Because mandagni (gentle-heat) paka cannot be rushed or scaled without hot spots that scorch the kalka. Small batches keep the temperature uniform through the vessel — the difference between an infused oil and a merely flavoured one.
Directions
Use once or twice daily. Consistency, not quantity, is what makes Ayurvedic oiling work.
Take a few drops — about 2 mL — of C A Gain Roots Hair Oil into your palm.
Part the hair and apply directly onto the scalp with fingertips, not the palms.
Massage gently for about 3 minutes to help the herbs reach the follicles.
Use once or twice daily as part of your regular hair care routine.
Why This Oil
Inspired by traditional Ayurvedic hair care rituals and rooted in 5000-year-old herbal wisdom — no chemicals, only botanicals.
Bhringaraja — 2 g in every 10 mL, the highest concentration in the formula — is the classical Keshraj herb for follicle strength and hair fall control.
Brahmi, Yashtimadhu, Amla and Neem condition the scalp, support hygiene and nourish weak, brittle hair from root to tip.
Nimba (neem), Haritaki and Musta support a clean, balanced scalp environment, helping prevent dandruff with regular use.

Priya S.Good quality Ayurvedic oil. Has a pleasant herbal scent and doesn't feel too greasy. I use it twice a week and my hair feels softer. Would be great if they offer a larger size option.
